NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Video Card Specifications Leaked – Faster than Radeon RX 480

Performance and specification slides have been leaked out by VideoCardz! The slides show that the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 will have ‘the power of GTX 980 for every gamer’ and that it is coming out this month! The image of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition graphics card in the slide is the same as the image that leaked out of a retail center in Asia last week.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

The leaked slides don’t have a specific launch date or pricing, but VideoCardz says the launch date is going to be July 7th!

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Specifications
The specifications of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 shows that it has 1280 CUDA Cores, 6GB of GDDR5 memory and a 120W TDP. The base clock speed isn’t listed, but the boost clock speed is 1700MHz and the memory is running at 8Gbps. The GeFroce GTX 1060 requires just one 6-pin power connector and sports three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0B, and one DL-DVI video output connectors.

We would assume that this card is using the new GP106 ‘Pasacal’ GPU and not a cut down version of the larger GP104 ‘Pascal’ GPU used on the GeForce GTX 1080 and Geforce GTX 1070. It is also being reported by a number of sites as using a 192-bit memory interface and that there may be a lesser memory configuration available, say 3GB? The AMD Radeon RX 480 that just came out this week has a 150W TDP and is available in 4GB and 8GB capacities.

GeForce GTX 1060 Performance Versus Radeon RX 480
Speaking of the AMD Radeon RX 480, the last slide leaked says that the GeForce GTX 1060 is ‘much faster than an RX 480’ and that is going to be good news for the NVIDIA fans if true. The comparison graph x-axis starts at 0.8 instead of 1 though, so ignore the bars and just look at the numbers. The GeForce GTX 1060 has 15% better 3D gaming performance, 25% better VR gaming performance and around 45% better power efficiency.

All that sounds good, but what about the price?
