LG Chem Recalls 128,000 Apple Laptop Batteries on Fire Hazard

I'm pretty sure all you United States Apple notebook users are aware of the recall for these batteries, mainly because of short circuiting and overheating problems.  This article gives you a bit more detail if you need it.

"The battery in the Apple notebook computer is the problem and we are going to recall the batteries sold in the United States," said Sung Doo-hwan, a spokesman at LG Chem, in a telephone interview. The affected laptops were Apple's 12-inch iBook and 12-inch, 15-inch PowerBook G4 computers, produced between September and November last year, he added.
