Devo Set to Perform Live at 2010 Winter Olympics
In a letter sent to fans and media outlets, legendary rock band Devo has announced they will perform live at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The performance will be shown live on NBC in the United States on February 22 during a ‘Victory Ceremony’. This performance will mark the band’s first network broadcast performance in 20 years. Devo will be one of many artists including The Fray, Usher, Feist, and Our Lady Peace to headline the Whistler Vitory Ceremonies starting February 13th through the 27th.
Devo’s new spirit of co-operation is yielding unbelievable results in the current entertainment space. Case in point: A one hour plus Devo live concert covered by NBC TV at the awards ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, BC February 22nd, and, a cultural hip - hop, skip and jump later, a featured, full length live set at Coachella 2010, April 17th in the desert at Indio, California. Friends, these are hot and cold situations beyond our wildest dreams!
