GLOBALFOUNDRIES Comment on AMD/Intel Settlement
We just got word from GLOBALFOUNDRIES CEO, Doug Grose on today’s AMD/Intel settlement. This is the first time we have received a statement from the new GLOBALFOUNDRIES since Company officials recently announced that Hector Ruiz will resign from his role as chairman of GlobalFoundries effective Jan. 4, and that he is taking an immediate "voluntary leave of absence" in the interim. It appears the settlement doesn't have a negative impact on the chip maker and that GLOBALFOUNDRIES is steaming full force ahead for chip production.

We're also pleased that this resolution allows GLOBALFOUNDRIES to continue making products for AMD while aggressively pursuing new foundry customers. GLOBALFOUNDRIES remains focused on executing on our growth strategies including our planned integration with Chartered, following the successful closing of ATIC’s acquisition of the company.”
