MSI X-Slim Notebooks and the Wind U120 Netbook Get WiMAX Forum Certification

WiMAX, the newest generation of wireless communication, will soon be a ubiquitous application. MSI has invested significant R&D and funding to prepare for the implementation of the 4th generation of wireless communications. The ultra-light, power-saving X-Slim Series X340 and X600 models are the first Taiwan-based brand to receive WiMAX Forum Certification. MSI also announced that they are the first company in the world to release a netbook capable of supporting WiMAX, the Wind U120.

Companies around the globe have spent many years paving the way for WiMAX, the newest generation of high-speed wireless communications technology. Many telecommunications companies have worked to implement these services. Early on, MSI, through its spirit of " insist on the best ", devoted significant R&D capabilities to becoming not only a member of the international WiMAX Forum, but also the first in the world to release a mini notebook capable of supporting WiMAX, the Wind U120. In addition, the integration of the popular Intel CULV platform and release of the ultra-thin, power-saving X-Slim X340 and X600 WiMAX notebook models, give consumers the opportunity to enjoy the synergy of MSI’s ultra mobile experience and the world's newest technology.
