Intel Canmore TV set top boxes debut at Computex - Gigabyte GN-MD300L-RH

Some of the very first pictures of the Gigabyte GN-MD300L-RH have been posted today from over at Computex 2009 in Taiwan! Gigabyte has been touting this as the "must-have" device for users to enjoy the leisure life since February 2009. Finally, we have some pictures of the blue 200mm x 200mm x 38mm prototype that has been developed! The heart of GN-MD300L-RH, Intel Media Processor CE 3100, is the first system-on-a-chip (SoC) based on Intel architecture for Internet-connected blu-ray players, advanced cable set top boxes, modular DTVs, and other connected CE products.

With Canmore, GN-MD300L-RH highly integrated device combines a high-performance IA processor core with leading-edge video decoding and processing hardware, a 3-channel DDR2-800 memory controller, dedicated multi-channel audio processing DSPs, a powerful 3D-graphics engine, a security processor and support for multiple peripherals. Simply put, customer could enjoy perfect AV experience while interacting with internet as well as sitting before personal computer. What's more, in addition to integrated Blu-ray player and DVB-T support for ultimate HD experience, HDMI Input interface expand horizon of Widget Channel Internet TV Platform to other devices with HDMI, and give you the best of the internet in perfect harmony with other applications such as game console, set top box, and so on.
