NVIDIA Releases Forceware 169.09 Beta Drivers for Crysis
NVIDIA today released a new set of drivers for both Windows XP and Windows Vista, just in time for you to upgrade before the Crysis game launches. The drivers apply to those with GeForce 6, 7, and 8 series of video cards. The driver is beta, but offers game fixes and performance improvements.
With this driver, SLI will deliver 40-50% speedup over a single GPU for Crysis. In addition, Crytek will release a patch in the next week or two that will improve SLI performance further. It also adds SLI support for Crysis, fixes a water reflection bug in Crysis and adds Control Panel anisotropic filtering support for Crysis.
