XFX has a licence to overclock G80

Our friends over on The Inquirer have gained information on factory overclocked GeForce 8 series cards. According to Faud, XFX will be the first card maker to be allowed to overclock their products. The new cards will use the familiar "XXX" suffix. The GeForce 8800GTX XXX Edition will have an increased clock speed of 630MHz core & 2GHz Memory. The standard 8800GTX runs at 575MHz core and 1.9GHz memory.

We learned that the cards will be limited and it will be the part of the XXX pervert edition series. It will be called the 8800 GTX XXX Edition and grab one while you can, but we don’t know anything about availability and pricing and here in Euroland the work hours are long gone so we cannot find this out for you, yet.
