More Problems for Sony Over Batteries

So you thought the scare with Dell, Apple, and Lenovo/IBM laptop batteries was over? Think again. On Friday, Toshiba and Fujitsu said it would recall 830,000 laptop computer batteries made by Sony. Dell, meanwhile expanded its earlier recall and said owners should recheck their batteries if they haven't received a replacement.

Toshiba said it would recall 830,000 laptop computer batteries made by Sony as part of Sony's newly launched global replacement program. Dell, meanwhile, increased the number of batteries in its recall to about 4.2 million units from 4.1 million, the company announced on Friday.
