Amazon.com Website Down - Unavailable Message
If you felt a great disturbance in the force this afternoon it is because Amazon.com is down! It appears they are having a major site outage and the website/storefront is unavailable. Amazon revenue is said to be around $100k per minute, so this is very costly! Internal links appear to still be working, but they are taking a long time to load. Amazon S3 cloud computing services appear to be fine. You can see in the image below that when you go to Amazon.com that you will see a page that just reads "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable."
