Kingston Digital Ships New Generation USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Kingston has announced the launch of the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Generation 3 USB 3.0 Flash drives. Available in 32GB and 64GB capacities, they boast speeds of up to 150MB/s Read and 70MB/s Write over USB 3.0 and are also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 with max speeds a little more tame at 30MB/s reads and 20MB/s writes. Similar in design to the newly announced 1TB DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0, they are constructed of solid metal with the business end being retractable to prevent damage when not in use.
Each drive is backed by a five-year warranty but no word yet on pricing or availability. Stay tuned as we will meet with Kingston in the next few days at CES and will attempt to get more info.
