Rumor: DICE Working on Mirror's Edge 2, Not a Battlefield Factory
Ben Cousins, A former executive producer at Battlefield developer DICE, claims that it is ‘general knowledge’ that the studio is working on a sequel to cult favorite Mirror’s Edge, although EA has not confirmed anything. The claim was made in a tweet that said ‘It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE’. Both EA and DICE have hinted at a sequel in the past, but never confirmed it. Whether Cousins’ comments will cause them to break their silence remains to be seen. Maybe this will be one of the big launch titles for the Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4!
"The DICE guys are roughly 300 people in the Stockholm studio; not all of them are working on Battlefield things, and that's intentional, because we don't want to become a Battlefield factory," he said.
