EK to Release a Full-Board Water Block for the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
EK Water Blocks announced this morning that the company will soon be releasing a new and improved Full-Board (FB) water block for ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard. This is one of the flagship AMD AM3+ socket boards on the market today, so this news should make many AMD fans happy. The expected release date is December 10th and the MSRP is 70€ incl. VAT. This new water block will be compatible with the original version of ASUS Crosshair V Formula motherboard and will as such replace the existing EK-FB ASUS Crosshair V lineup.
The upcoming EK-FB ASUS C5F-Z for ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard will be a single piece Full-Board water block which will directly cool AMD 990FX northbridge and the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module. Due to the budget nature of this water block the AMD SB950 southbridge will remain cooled using ASUS factory provided heatsink . This water cooling solution will require two G1/4 threaded fittings and will sport a high flow design therefore posing a minimal flow restriction to the water cooling circuit.
