Galaxy Introduces GeForce GT 610 MDT Graphics Card With Quad Display Capability

Galaxy has introduced the latest member of its MDT (Multi-Display Technology) family, the GT 610 1GB GDDR3 fan cooled single slot graphics card. This little card's key feature is the ability to support four displays simultaneously at a max resolution of 1920x1200. To achieve this, it uses two IDT VMM1402 multi-display chips allowing two displays per DMS 59 port. Two splitter cables included in the box then allow the full four monitors to be connected. This card does not support analog monitors, it's strictly DVI or HDMI only.

The card uses the previous NVIDIA Fermi generation 40nm GF119 GPU, which has pretty modest specs as can be seen in the chart below. So, who is this specialized budget card for? It should work well for budding artists that need multiple monitors, financial types with masses of figures to be displayed at once - or even gamers who want to watch the ultimate DX11 slideshow across four monitors! While the product page is up (see link below) pricing and availability info has not yet been released.
