New Lian Li PC-D8000 Monster-Sized System Case Holds 20 HDDs!

Well known maker of high quality PC system cases Lian Li, is introducing the PC-D8000, a monster-sized floor standing case with the headline feature of being able to hold a full 20 3.5 inch hard disc drives! Not only that, but it also has space for 6 5.25 inch bays too.

The case is of gargantuan proportions, being 405mm wide, 572mm tall and 628mm deep. This allows the 3.5 inch and 5.25 inch bays to actually sit side by side in two long columns. Also, it can accommodate much longer graphics cards than would normally be made, at 410mm or 16 inches, meaning that it can take the very biggest graphics cards on the market with ease.

It has a detachable motherboard tray which can accept not only ATX/mATX motherboards, but the rare HPTX standard motherboards too. The EVGA Classified SR-X dual socket LGA 2011 motherboard is an example of this beast. It has a massive 18 mounting locations for fans up to 140mm and it also appears to be able to hold two power supplies. Finally, you will need to be strong to lift this case, as on its own it weighs a hefty 13KG/26lbs, let alone when fully loaded with components. With a bit of luck, an enthusiast will create a monster PC using this case and show it off for all to see.

The case is currently available for pre-order from European retailers for around 330 Euro.
