Windows 8 Pro UK Upgrade Price to Cost £25
The US upgrade price for people upgrading from an older version of Windows to Windows 8 Pro has been set at $39.99. Microsoft had previous said that the UK upgrade price would be £40, which would actually make the upgrade more expensive for UK customers. However, Microsoft has now clarified its upgrade pricing, making the revised price just £25, which is about the same as the US price when converted from dollars. Apparently, the higher price announced was due to a "miscommunication" within the company.
Microsoft's press agency insists that the price wasn't amended following press coverage of the price originally quoted, and that there had simply been an internal communication error.
