Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Reaches Astounding 600 Simultaneous Players!
Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 2 has a huge game world. So huge in fact, that traversing it with a jet airplane takes several minutes. However, the game world has always been populated by only bots - and you. No multiplayer fun to be found anywhere.
To fix this, a fan-made multiplayer mod is currently in development, which is extremely popular, with 10,000 people having registered on its forum. Normally games only allow say, 16 people into a multiplayer session. However, this mod allows an astounding 600 simultaneous players, which puts all the other online games to shame - no wonder this mod is so popular. The beta is only occasionally open to the public at the moment, with a major testing event having been held on the weekend of 7th & 8th July. This allowed the creation of the video below, demonstrating just how much fun multiplayer adds to the game. The official site is here.
