ORICO Reveals USB 3.0 To eSATA Adapter

For those of you still using eSATA HDD enclosures in today's USB 3.0 world, you will soon have an option to change that. ORICO has unveiled the CT6539U3E which plugs into a USB 3.0 port (works with USB 2.0 as well) and gives out an eSATA port. This little adaptor draws power from the USB port and operates at the eSATA interface bandwidth of 3Gbps, in theory that can be extended to eSATA 5Gbps. This increased eSATA bandwidth would allow for the configuration of high-performance SSDs. If you want to know if the unit is active, thats not a problem either as the USB 3.0 to SATA host controller also supports LED activity lights. For those of you who want to improve the compatibility of your eSATA externals can find the ORICO CT6539U3E available for 100 RMB, which is roughly $15.70 USD.
