CrystalDiskMark 3.0.4 is a good benchmark to gauge how well a drive will perform. Many of the drive manufacturers have used this benchmark to show off the performance of their drives. It provides a quick benchmark of Sequential and Random read/writes, and included a NCQ with a queue depth of 32.

The Kingston publishes an “up to” 555MB/s read speed and 510MB/s write speed. Of course those of us used to seeing how drives actually perform don’t always expect to see those numbers just something close to it.

Benchmark Results: If it wasn’t for the other two boards reporting similar write speeds for the Kingston HyperX 3K SSD, I would have thought something was wrong, however the MSI Z97I Gaming AC motherboard performed nearly identically to the other Z97 motherboard.
