MSI has released an image of an upcoming Intel X99 motherboard called the X99S SLI Plus that is worth taking a look at. The Intel X99 platform for Haswell-E processors is close to launching and the motherboard makers are already releasing images of their boards. Take a look below and the sleek looking board that is nearly blacked out. From the image released by MSI it appears this LGA2011-3 socket board supports eight DDR4 memory modules and has four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots for multi-GPU goodness. There appears to be eight SATA III 6Gbps ports, plenty of USB 3.0 headers and what even looks like SATA Express and an M.2 slot. Looks good, but can it perform?
