MSI demos MXM in SLI

The Tech Report has pics of MSI’s new and innovative Graphics solution. MSI have developed a card which can run two MXM graphics cards in SLI. Imagine 2 7800Go cards in SLI, almost the same performance as two GTX’s in SLI but with lower power consumption. There is also the upgrade path, Nvidia will probibly be reseasing the mobile version of the next-gen chip, users can just change MXM cards on the fly if required.
CES ? MSI is showing off a unique take on SLI that combines two MXM mobile graphics modules on a single PCI Express x16 card. It’s just a prototype, but depending on interest, it could eventually make its way to market.
