NVIDIA has scored another win with today’s announcement by Microsoft of the new next-gen Surface 2 tablet is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 processor. The inclusion of the Tegra 4 processor means the newest generation Surface will have a significant boost in power due to Tegra 4’s ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core CPU with 72 GeForce GPU cores. This announcement only serves to bolster NVIDIA’s market positioning as they are now well established in a variety of hardware platforms such as phones, tablets, all-in-one PCs and of course gaming devices.
