Microsoft to ship Xbox 360 Nov 22 in US

The Xbox is to be released on the 22nd of November. Europe and Japan won’t see it until the 2nd and 10th of December respectivly. There will be a high-end version available with wireless capability and a detachable hard drive. The high-end version will cost ~$400, $100 more than the standard version. Microsoft will have 15-20 games available for the launch and 25-40 games available by the end of the year.
TOKYO/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Microsoft Corp. said on Thursday its next-generation Xbox 360 video game console would go on sale in North America on November 22, just before the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday kicks off the year-end shopping season, followed by European and Japan debuts over the next three weeks.
