Lost children database goes live

The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children has setup a Missing Persons Hotline. They have also got an online photo album of children who are trying to get in contact with their families. “If you have any information regarding these children, please contact NCMEC at 1-800-THE LOST(1-800-843-5678) or the Louisiana clearinghouse at 1-225-342-8631”
Photos, names, and descriptions of missing adults, children, as well as relocated children, are being posted to the website. The NCMEC has also sent out its network of volunteers armed with mobile phones – many of whom are retired police – to affected states to help families with the technicalities of filing their missing persons alerts.
