Lenovo Yoga Book 2 has Two Screens and a Virtual Keyboard

By

Lenovo has shown off its new Yoga Book 2 at Computex the device looks very slick and high tech. Rather than having a normal keyboard attached to the bottom section of the machine as you would expect in an ultraportable machine, Lenovo has ditched the traditional keyboard. The machine has dual displays and appears to have a virtual keyboard only on that second screen.

The keyboard is a touch keyboard appearing to be sort of like the keyboard on your tablet only larger. All the keys are outlined in white on a black surface along with a trackpad. Lenovo showed the device off but has apparently played a bit coy with full details. It didnt come out and specifically say the bottom section where the keyboard is will be all screen, but it certainly appears that way from the images Windows Central has from the show.

An AI enhanced keyboard is touted to improve typing accuracy. The machine promises to be ultra-thin and light and to have an enhanced inking experience. Presumably, that has to do with the ability to use a digital pen, but the presentation wasn’t clear on that.

Lenovo will also fit the Yoga Book 2 with a faster running Intel processor under the hood but there is no specific processor called out. One important detail that Lenovo left out was exactly when the machine might launch, that launch is expected later this year. Pricing was also unannounced. If the only keyboard is a virtual one on the lower screen we must wonder about typing feel.
