An Insane HyperX T1 Memory Kit

Image Description

Kingston is no stranger to high performance memory kits. With HyperX kits available for just about any platform you can think of, it is no surprise that with the launch of Intels Lynnfield CPU they have released one of their fastest kit to date. Running at 2133MHz, this dual channel DDR3 memory kit is blazing fast out of the box. We saw with their 2000MHz kit that DDR3 is powerful memory even with just 1.65 volts. In that same review we got our first look at the HyperX T1 heatspreaders. While they are very large, they do an excellent job of keeping the ICs nice and cool.

With the package now open you can get a better look at these beauties. With X.M.P., you have the choice to run this 4GB of memory at either 2000MHz, or 2133MHz. Running at 2133MHz means that youll need to run your base clock a bit higher than default.

Finally out of the packaging, we can clearly see the green PCB and just how large those T1 heat spreaders are. Most heat sinks are just a couple of millimeters taller than the DIMM itself!

From the top you can make out the part number and the speed. Our HyperX kit is rated for 2133MHz at 8-8-8 timings! This is a very fast kit of memory and as you would expect, it has an MSRP of $379!! Clearly this is not a bang for your buck 4GB memory kit.

In this photo you can see the difference between the standard HyperX heat spreaders and the HyperX T1.
