A number of online retailers have listed the Intel Optane SSD 905P Series of half height PCIe NVMe drives that have 3D XPoint memory and what looks to be a LED lit heatspreader. Newegg has an Intel Optane SSD 905P 960GB drive that is listed under part number SSDPED1D960GAX1 for sale at $1,602.11 plus $12.00 shipping. That would put the price per GB at $1.67! The pictures of it look pretty neat and show blue LED lighting. Newegg does not list any specifications for this drive, but it it rumored to be using a new SSD controller that has 7-channels. Newegg also has an Intel Optane SSD 905P Series drive with the U.2 interface and 2.5″ PCIe x4 form factor for sale. The model they have listed is 480GB under part number SSDPE21D480GAX1 and is priced at $658.42 shipped.

An ASRock marking image for their ASRock Fatal1ty H370 Performance motherboard an highlights that they are using the PCIe Gen3 x4 Ultra M.2 interface. The slots look like the support the longer M.2 22110 drive. All M.2 slots are 22mm in width, but drives can be 30, 42, 60, 80 or 110mm in length. The most common supported size for the M.2 form factor is 2280 (22mm wide x 80mm long), but it looks like 110mm long drives are right around the corner.
