Inateck FD1006C Bundle

The Inateck FD1006C is a very simple and straight forward device that does what it is supposed to. You simply plug it into your system and it works. If you happen to have a system that supports USB 3.0 with UASP you are in for a treat as we discovered that the FD1006C was capable of some pretty sick transfer speeds on the SSD that we tested it with. Thanks to the ASmedia ASM1153E we found the FD1006C was able to top out at an impressive 463MB/s read and 458MB/s write. Those numbers are slightly faster than they ones we saw on the Inateck FE2006 2.5″ enclosure ($16.99 shipped) that used a different controller and it means that this is now the fastest USB 3.0 enclosure that we have ever tested!

When it comes to pricing the Inateck FD1006C is available for $26.99 shipped from Amazon. That is a fairly reasonable price for what you get as competing single drive docking stations by companies like Anker and Thermaltake are in the $35 to $45 price range. The Inateck FD1006C is backed by a 1-year limited warranty should something ever go wrong.

Most all enthusiast PCs are build today use 2.5″ SSDs as the primary drives, but most enthusiasts keep their old hard drives. Having a docking station that can support both 2.5″ and 3.5″ drives is nice to have as it allows you to access all the drives you have without needing to open up your case to install a drive. This is great if you are the ‘tech genius’ in your family and are trying to recover files from another persons disk. You can also use it to increase storage space on devices that are out of storage drive bays. There are many uses for the Inatek FD1006C USB 3.0 to SATA 6G Lay-Flat docking station with UASP function and we highly recommend it if you need one!
