Gigabyte includes a disc that has Gigabyte’s free software, and drivers necessary to get your motherboard up and running. These are handy for first time installers, however you are usually better off getting the latest version from Gigabytes website if possible. Otherwise, my recommendation is always to install the minimum amount of drivers necessary off the disc and then get the latest drivers. When you start the disc, you’ll be presented with the drivers, and some additional software such from Google and Norton AV. Select the ones you want to install, and click “Express Install”, or click the install button for each one individually.

Gigabyte includes a large amount of free value-add software. Easy Tune is Gigabyte’s overclocking utility, @BIOS is their BIOS update GUI tool, AmbientLED allows control of the motherboard’s LED (which can be controlled within the BIOS as well) and CloudStation allows you to work with your system using your smartphone or tablet.

The last menu option is to install software from Google, just in case you missed it on the main menu. Google Chrome, Toolbar and Drive are the three options from Google.

Of course, you can always reach out to Gigabyte’s website for the Z170X-UD5 and get the latest drivers.
