Gigabyte reveals a new BRIX line of compact PCs for gaming. The new Gigabyte BRIX Gaming GT PCs remain compact in design while separating from the Intel NUC designed models. The oval shaped chase measures at 276 x 384 x 128 mm and is sufficient to hold high performing components. Furthermore, the new Gigabyte BRIX Gaming GT PC contains the Intel Core i7-6700K ‘Skylake’ processor and an option of either NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or 1080 G1 video card. Details of the new BRIX Gaming GT PC have been revealed by Guru3D here. The latest model of BRIX Gaming GT PC is larger than former model to allow a more powerful build. Hopefully Gigabyte was using the Intel Core i7-6700K since the Core i7-7700K “Kaby Lake” processors aren’t officially going to be announced until Q1 2017.

Gigabyte BRIX Gaming GT PC Specifications:

  • Intel i7-6700K processor
  • 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM
  • 1x 240 GB M.2 SSD
  • 1x 2.5-inch 1TB HDD 7200rpm
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB
  • 276 x 384 x 128 mm oval chase
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless- AC 3165NGW
  • 4.2 Bluetooth
  • Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2400 Gigabit LAN
  • 1x USB Type C, 1x USB 3.1 Type A Slot
  • 3x USB 3.0 Type A Slot

The new Gigabyte BRIX Gaming GT PC holds both a 2.5-inch SSD and HDD to allow the gamer to prioritize storage such as operating system. If both SSD and HDD are not enough, the larger oval chase allows room for an additional 2.5 inch storage expansion. Also, the upcoming unit is a powerful build and the i7-6700K processing unit provides a quad-core base frequency of 4.0 GHZ. As a result, it will come with an Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 to give users an extra performance to provide smooth gaming. Seems like the various connectors are to allow a variety of options to ensure the users will not be limited to specific ports. Consumers may remain at ease not being forced to transition to hindering ports. Gigabyte has yet to reveal a release date or price on the next line of Gigabyte BRIX Gaming GT desktop.
