Fortnite to get New Drum Gun Soon

Fortnite fans are always pumped to hear about new weapons coming to the game. A new weapon was announced as coming soon via the Fortnite in-game newsfeed. That weapon will be recognizable at a glance as a Tommy Gun, but Fortnite is calling it a Drum Gun reports Dexerto.

The Drum Gun is described as a “new weapon with a high capacity drum magazine and a quick rate of fire.” The weapon had been rumored before, so this confirmation makes that rumor official. As for damage, the Drum Gun reportedly does about twice the damage at about half the rate of fire of the SMG already in Fortnite.

It is said to be more akin to the AR already in the game. This gun has appeared in many video games and movies over the years. The Tommy Gun is a staple of gangster movies and WWII era films. Fortnite continues to be very popular with gamers.

Word is that Fortnite has taken about half of PUBG’s players over the last year. PUBG Corp is currently suing Epic Games over Fortnite due to the similarities between the two games.
