Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter: World Crossover Event Happens in August

Fans of the games Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy 14 will have a crossover event to enjoy next month. Square Enix and Capcom have announced that on August 7 a crossover event will happen that sees characters, monsters, and items crossing over between the two games. Square Enix is talking about its part of the crossover event now.

Players of FF14: Stormblood will get access to Monster Hunter: World content on August 7. Fans will see the monster called Rathalos invade the Final Fantasy MMO. Taking on the monster will happening a trial called “The Great Hunt” offered in a normal version for up to eight players and an extreme version for four players.

The content for the event will land as part of the 4.36 patch for the game. There are stipulations on playing this content. You must have reached level 70 and completed the Stormblood expansion main quest to be able to fight Rathalos.

Along with the monster, you will have access to gear and cosmetics including an armor set inspired by Rathalos. Other content includes Poogie and Palico minions, a Rathalos mount, and barbecue spit.
