Federal Reserve To Release New $100 Bill Tomorrow

The new $100 note is the latest denomination of U.S. currency to be redesigned. Over a decade of research and development went into its new security features and it begins circulating on October 8, 2013! This note, which incorporates new security features such as a blue, 3-D security ribbon, will be easier for the public to authenticate but more difficult for counterfeiters to replicate. These bills were also pretty tough to make as the Federal Reserve had a creasing issue when making these $100 bills and had to delay production and destroy $3 billion worth of the new bills. Yes, we destroyed 30 million $100 bills due to printing issues earlier this year!
