Through its advanced renderer, Unigine is one of the first to set precedence in showcasing the art assets with tessellation, bringing compelling visual finesse, utilizing the technology to the full extent and exhibiting the possibilities of enriching 3D gaming. For this benchmark VSync was turned off and we tested with 0x AA and 4x AF to check out system performance. We also ran the benchmark at 1920×1080 and 1280×1024 to see how the benchmark ran at some different monitor resolutions.
Benchmark Results: The EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW was significantly better performing than the HIS Radeon HD 5870 and the Galaxy GeForce GTX 465. Running the benchmark at lower resolutions such as 1280×1024 the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW was 36.6% faster than the HIS Radeon HD 5870 and 31.1% faster than the Galaxy GeForce GTX 465. Running at our maximum resolution the gap between the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Hydro Copper FTW and the HIS Radeon HD 5870 did close, though the gap was still 25.3%.
