Evercool Transformer 3 CPU Cooler 2.8ghz

With the system running at the sock 2.8GHz the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 comes in at 56*C, a half degree better than the recently tested Enermax ETS-T40-TA. The Transformer 3 is a very nice 21.25 degrees cooler than the stock Intel HSF. With the fan rated at 35dBA at full speed, it did not seem to be that loud; it was just slightly louder than the 120mm Scythe Slipstream Medium case fans I use, but nothing terribly loud.

Evercool Transformer 3 CPU Cooler 3.5ghz

Bumping the system up with a mild overclock to 3.5GHz the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 comes in at 59.75*C, bettering the Enermax ETS-T40-TA by 3.75 degrees, and only 1.25 degrees behind the Antec Kuhler H2O 920 on extreme.

Evercool Transformer 3 CPU Cooler 4.0ghz

Pushing the system with a large overclock to 4GHz the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 comes in at 77.75*C, falling behind the Enermax ETS-T40-TA by 1.75 degrees. Even with our Intel Core i7-930 humming away at 4GHz the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 is only 1/2 degree warmer than the stock Intel HSF at the stock 2.8GHz. Not too shabby for a sub $30 cooler.
