Elder Scrolls Online is Free for an Entire Week

Gamers with nothing to do this week might want to check out Elder Scrolls Online. The game will be free to play for an entire week courtesy of Bethesda. The free to play week starts on April 11 and goes through April 18 and will cost you nothing. Free gameplay starts at 7am PT on April 11.

If you have some vacation time coming, this might be the week to take it. The free week of action includes the full Tamriel Unlimited game and free players get 500 Crowns to get them started. The free in-game loot can be spent on things like cosmetic upgrades, pets, and other items.

If you already know you will like the game during that free week of play, the purchase price will be discounted until April 18. As of now the discount hasn’t been spelled out, the base game Tamriel Unlimited sells for about $30 typically. The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition including the base game, Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood DLC packs normally retails for $60. No subscription is needed for either of those games to play.

When June rolls around, another expansion for the game will be launching called Morrowind. If you are wondering if there are enough people in the game to warrant your money, apparently the game has sold 8.5 million copies so far. The free play is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One reports Gamespot.
