E3 2015 Preview: Could This Be The Year Of Xbox

By

Xbox One LogoIts that time of the year again as E3 2015, also known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, is right around the corner. It kicks off in Los Angeles at the Convention Center, right next to Staples Center on June 16 next Tuesday. But for Microsoft, the show and events really start on Monday. This is when when Microsoft is having its live media briefing at 9am local time. Even if you aren’t in the Los Angeles are, you will be able to watch the live stream of the event via this link.

Up until now, Microsoft has been giving its fans teasers as what to expect and this could very well be the Year of Microsoft. We expect to see plenty of new games, plus the announcement of a new exclusive IP (we aren’t too sure of what this is referring to but maybe this has something to do with a cross play between Windows 10 and the Xbox One!)

US Marketing Head for Xbox Aaron Greenberg has announced how Microsoft will impact E3 this year, “We have some ideas to do things different at E3 this year that we haven’t done before. I think we’re going to take a little bit of a different approach to E3 this year. But I feel really good about it. It’s been really exciting. Expect a lot of surprises. Expect us to talk a lot about games. And if you’re an Xbox owner, I think you’re going to leave really, really, really happy in the investment you made. And if you’re undecided, we hope that you will look at what we deliver on games and want to buy an Xbox One. We’re really just starting to really showcase the power and the graphic fidelity of the platform.”

Xbox Halo

With that said, we are expecting some big game titles to be revealed at E3 2015 such as a new chapter in the long-standing Halo series; Gears Of War aka as The Coalition; and Tomb Raider. These are three of the games Im looking forward to the most.

Crackdown-XboxWe really wanted to see Xbox exclusive game Crackdown but that game along with Scalebound and Quantum Break but it looks like Microsoft will show those at Gamescom in August.

Lets talk about the games we know will be at E3. This could be Microsofts year but we will wait to see what other surprises Microsoft has for us. Here is a quick list of highlights that we will be looking forward to seeing first-hand for the Xbox One:

Halo 5: Guardians

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Forza Motorsport 6
