Destiny 2 Beta and Launch Dates Announced

By

Destiny fans will be thrilled to hear that during the Sony E3 event Activision participated and gave up some details on when the Destiny 2 game will start its beta and official launch. The first players to get access to the Destiny 2 beta will be those on the PS4 and that will happen on July 18 for the early beta reports Forbes. That is only about a month away.

The next day, July 19, Xbox One gamers will get in on the early beta action. July 21 will kick off the open beta with PC gamers having to wait until late August to get in on the PC beta. The official launch for Destiny 2 on PS4 and Xbox One will happen on September 6, which was bumped up a few days from the original September 8 launch date.

Again PC gamers have to wait with the official launch for Destiny 2 on the PC set at October 24. Those PS4 gamers also get some exclusive content to enjoy that other platforms won’t get. During the announcement event Activision noted, “Revealed today were the Destiny 2 PlayStation timed exclusives available at launch, which include a competitive multiplayer map, a three-player cooperative Strike, a blue and white colored ship, specialized gear sets, and an exclusive exotic weapon.”

If you missed the official trailer that was unveiled for Destiny 2 during E3, you can check it out below. It’s rather annoying that PC gamers have to wait so much longer than console gamers to get in on the action.
