DefenderPad Review: Protecting Your Junk From Laptop Radiation & HeatFri, Jul 26, 2013 - 12:00 AM
Final Thoughts and Conclusions
This was supposed to be a simple review, but those are the ones that usually turn out to be complex. The DefenderPad helps protect you from something that is of real concern, but is invisible [radiation] and that makes it hard to demonstrate a product like this. I also couldn’t properly test it, so we all have to trust that the independent FCC testing lab properly did their testing and that it works as advertised.
Over the years we’ve reviewed and seen all sorts of ‘lap desks’ that prevent your legs from getting burnt or models that have fans in them to keep laptops running cool, but never one that blocked radiation. Every electric motor emits electromagnetic radiation, so by purchasing a lap desk like that you are actually increasing the radiation levels above your lap. That is usually the last thing men looking impregnate someone want to worry about or women trying to protect all their eggs. DefenderPad really makes you rethink about the devices that we have used in the past!
At the end of the day the DefenderPad is nothing more than a lap desk that protects you against radiation emitted from your electronic gadgets. It’s a really simple idea, but we know a ton of hard work and money went into finding the right mix of materials to block both Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) and Radio Frequency Radiation (RF). The design is also patented by the USPTO as a ‘Body Shield for Thermal and Electrical Radiation’ under US 20130153795 A1. Most people that come up with imitations or fake products usually don’t take the time to patent them, so this by all means is the real deal.
If you have $90 available to spend on protecting yourself or a loved on from unhealthy and unnatural radiation you should think about picking up the DefenderPad. You really can’t put a price tag on protecting yourself and your loved ones. The DefenderPad is also backed by a 1-year warranty in the event that there is an issue with the workmanship.
It should also be noted that we ran across other ‘radiation shields’ when we were looking into competing products, but the ones we found blocked just ELF radiation. The DefenderPad blocks both ELF and RF radiation, so it better protects you. It also happens to be the only one on the market that was tested by an independent laboratory.
Legit Bottom Line: The DefenderPad has been shown to help protect your body from thermal and electromagnetic radiation from the portable electronic devices you use on your lap! It is pricey, but your future kids might thank you!
