DeepCool’s Aeolus Big Frost CPU Cooler Ready For Primetime

DeepCool’s new Aeolus Big Frost cooler is a simplified version of the Assassin tower cooler and looks ready for sale. It retains the dual aluminium towers, which are symmetrical and have six 6mm copper heat pipes passing through them, which are connected to a copper CPU contact plate. The fins have two 120mm fans in a push-pull configuration attached to them for that all-important airflow.

The heatsink is 126x136x159mm in size and weighs a hefty 1,109g with fans. Interestingly, the fans are not set up to spin at the same speeds. The push fan on the outside is configured to spin at speeds of up to 1,300RPM, while making up to 22.6dBA of noise. However, the pull fan in the middle, will run between 900-1,500RPM and make between 21.4 and 32.1dBA of noise. The cooler supports all the main CPU socket types currently available, including Intel LGA2011, LGA1155/LGA1156, LGA1366, LGA775, AMD AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2, plus FM2/FM1.
