Corsair Vengeance 1300 Analog Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts and Conclusions

With Corsair going further and further into the computer accessory world, it’s no surprise that they are making new and better products all the time. This headset is no exception to that. The excellent build quality is something we have come to expect from Corsair and they didn’t disappoint us. The Vengeance 1300 isn’t heavy, but it isn’t light and flimsy either. Corsair took the base design of the HS1 and created a more cost efficient product.

While the Vengeance 1300 may be an analog gaming headset, it still retains the quality audio that everyone loved from the HS1. Highs and mids are crisp and distinct, while the bass may be lacking a bit when running through your computer’s onboard sound; it’s nothing that can’t be fixed by spending a few minutes tweaking your sound card’s equalizer. Without spending too much time I was able to level out all the frequencies and gain quite a bit of bass.

As far as comfort goes, I haven’t found a headset to this day that is as comfortable for prolonged gaming sessions. After having worn the headset for over four hours, it was just as comfortable as it was when I first put it on. The memory foam around the ear cups makes this headset feel quite natural. After finding the perfect adjustment for the top band, the headset fit perfectly.

With the Vengeance 1300 currently being priced at $69.99 shipped, it is priced lower than competitive headsets, while performing on par with them. While proving that they can build a product that is worth the asking price, they also provide a two year warranty on this particular unit. From everything I’ve read, Corsair’s warranty department is top notch and does as much possible to ensure customer satisfaction.

If you’re in the market for a new gaming headset, and you’re trying to stay within a budget, the Corsair Vengeance 1300 is definitely something to keep in mind. The combined audio quality, with the combined comfort and build reliability of the Vengeance 1300 make it one of the better values in the midrange gaming headset segment.

Legit Bottom Line: The Corsair Vengeance 1300 is overall a very solid headset, built to cater to gamers. It was definitely designed to be comfortable and reliable, but maintain the standards gamers are used to and it did just that.
