PCMark Vantage & SiSoft Sandra 2010

PCMark Vantage v1.01 measures the performance of the latest PC hardware across a variety of common scenarios. PCMark Vantage supports both system level and component level benchmarking and comprises several different test suites but for the purposes of this review, we stuck with just the HDD suite. The nice thing about PCMark Vantage is that you can submit your scores online and compare against others.

Benchmark Results: Surprisingly, the Nova blew away the Torqx in all aspects of this benchmark but to be fair, Patriot has issued a few firmware updates since which may have an impact on their scores. It never even came close to the Sandforce drive however.

SiSoftware Sandra2010

SiSoftware Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is an information & diagnostic utility. Sandra provides most of the information (including undocumented) you need to know about your hardware, software and other devices whether hardware or software.
