Apple is apparently staging an as-yet unannounced invitation-only event on October 23. It looks like it will be the launch of a smaller Retina MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini, if a “consistently reliable source at a high-profile U.S. retailer” is to be believed. This rumour is enough to convince 9 To 5 Mac that this model is “confirmed” for the launch.
Like with the 15-inch MacBook Pro lines, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display will be sold (at a higher price) in addition to the current non-Retina display model. That computer was updated with faster processors and USB 3.0 in June.
