A pair of gray pants found Tuesday on a steep slope near footprints is believed to belong to Kim, Anderson confirmed. He said the pants were not the blue jeans Kim was known to have been wearing when he left on foot seeking help, and added that he may have layered the gray pants on top of his jeans. Rescuers may also have found another of Kim’s personal items near the pants, Anderson said. Anderson did not name the second item, but said the team was hoping to retrieve it by dropping a person down into the canyon. Snow in the canyon has started to melt, Anderson said.
