Kingston’s Latest Flash Products

Image Description

Kingston is kicking off CES with a new product that takes everything Secure Digital and ties it together with their microSD Dual adapter pack. With all of flash memory products available today and the increase in popularity of the microSD format in newer mobile phones, this is a great solution for those that have multiple devices that each use a different SD format.

The package consits of a microSD to miniSD adapter, a microSD to full-size SD card adapter, and at the heart of the package a 1GB microSD card. You no longer need to spend money for an SD card for your camera, and a microSD or miniSD card for your new mobile phone. A single purchase gives you great storage for all of your SD devices.

The 1GB microSD Dual adapter pack comes priced at $39.99. The microSD 1GB card is backed by Kingston with a full lifetime warranty and 24/7 technical support.

Also at the Kingston display was their new DataTraveler Mini with Migo. This tiny ultraportable drive is smaller than your thumb in length and has a sliding retractable USB connector which means you don’t have to go searching for the cap everytime you use it. It measures in at just .70 x 1.42 x .40 inches so it’s just a little bigger than the cap of most other USB drives. Keeping track of the drive is made easier by the colors that are used, red for 512MB, light blue for 1GB, and light purple for 2GB. The 512MB ($15) and 1GB ($23) are available now at most major online sites while the 2GB ($42) drive will be available mid-February.
