Futuremark 3DMark11 Synthetic Gaming Benchmark

3DMark 11 is the latest version of the worlds most popular benchmark for measuring the 3D graphics performance of gaming PCs. 3DMark 11 uses a native DirectX 11 engine designed to make extensive use of all the new features in DirectX 11, including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading.

Since Futuremark is releasing 3DMark11 today we decided to run the benchmark at both performance and extreme presets to see how our hardware will run.

BIOSTAR TA990FXE 990FX 3DMark11 Performance Preset Benchmark Results

Benchmark results: The BIOSTAR TA990FXE was able to outperform the GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 in Futuremark 3DMark 11. When running the Extreme preset the BIOSTAR TA990FXE was able to achieve an overall score of 1647 points with a GPU score of 1491 points to back it up. This is only four points behind the ASUS Crosshair V Formula, which holds the top spot. Switching to the performance preset the BIOSTAR TA990FXE was able to maintain the second spot ahead of the GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 by 65 points overall and 72 points in the GPU score.
