ATI to reluctantly release Radeon X1950 XTX on 23rd

According to Fudo ATI has seems to have changed its mind again on when to launch its forthcoming R580+ chip. If this is correct the ATI Radeon X1950 XTX should be seen in reviews on the 23rd, while retail cards will hit store shelves in mass on September 14th.
The chaps in Canada wanted to postpone the launch for three weeks to ensure there was enough supply to do a real hard launch. But since the print magazines have already gone to bed with their reviews of the hardware, at this point there is no turning back.
