Asustek A8R-MVP Motherboard Uses ULi M1575 Southbridge
ULi Electronics today announced that Asustek Computer has incorporated the ULi M1575 southbridge solution in their latest A8R-MVP motherboard series. The A8R-MVP supports the AMD Socket-939 Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor, which delivers advanced multithreaded performance to satisfy the rising demand for more powerful processing capability, according to the company.
The M1575 southbridge provides interface to the northbridge via the high-speed PCI Express link, which offers unmatched scalability and low latency that delivers the bandwidth needed for today?s performance intensive multimedia applications, said ULi. The A8R-MVP motherboard features M1575?s advanced storage capabilities for multiple disk RAID environments and next-generation SATA2 3.0Gbps supporting Native Command Queuing (NCQ) capability to provide highly efficient disk management and enhanced overall storage performance, according to the chipset specialist.
