Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the latest in a long line of Battlefield games and it is the first of the series to run on DX11, not only is this game fun to play… it looks amazing.
We ran BC2 with all of its graphics settings as high as they could go and we ran our tests on the map frozen from the start of the checkpoint until we reached the frozen lakebed. During this time we experienced snow drifts, combat and a good look at the sky.
Benchmark Results: I was kind of shocked here to see that there was very little difference in the frame rates between the ASUS Radeon HD 6870 and the 6850 that we ran the tests on. In both cases it’s a less than 6 FPS difference. This card will have no problem playing this Direct X 11 shooter even at the high resolution of 1920×1080. I just wish it would have been a bit higher, especially in game like Bad Company 2 where good frame rates can be the difference between victory and defeat.
