If any company in the motherboard market could act like a child and stick their tongue out and say, “ Nanny-nanny boo-boo, I did it before you did,” it would be Asus. They seem to always be one if the first, if not the very first to market with motherboards based on new chipsets. Nothing changed with the launch of the Intel X48 chipset. Asus was right there with their offerings, and we happened to be able to get our hands one and take it for a lap or two around the benchmark suite and see how it stacks up against the competition. Take a look at the specs, and then we will take a little closer look at the X48 chipset, since this is the first board we have looked at with it.
